This hidden little gem is the perfect setting for any small group.  Whether it’s client entertaining in a private setting before a show in the Music Hall, an executive board meeting, cocktail parties or an intimate family dinner this space comes complete with everything you need.  Built-in state-of-the art Audio/Visual equipment, a beautiful long-table that seats up to 20 people, leather boardroom chairs, complete privacy, along with dining space, private bar and all other comforts and amenities a discerning individual would expect from this type of venue.  The Lucas Club Room seats up to 20 people for dinner and can comfortably hold up to 60 people for a cocktail party.

The Music Hall can accommodate up to 220 people, depending on the type event. For a cocktail/dance party the capacity is up to 200 people, for a private show or concert the capacity ranges from 80-220 people and for a sit-down dinner the capacity is 96 people. With a large raised stage and a full bar, as well as a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system operated by our professional engineers, it is a fun and versatile space in which to plan your event. It is a room built for the performing arts in which you can host everything from private or corporate concerts to fundraisers, receptions, speaker engagements and unique dinner parties - with or without live music or DJ.  The only limitation is your imagination.

The Banquet Room can accommodate up to 150 people for cocktail events and 100 people for a sit-down dinner.  Its atmosphere is warm and elegant with beautiful hardwood floors, plush furnishings and intimate lighting.  The room also features a complete bar, a small performance mezzanine above the room (perfect for a small string quartet) and state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities for any multi-media presentations.  Our 10x12 ft. dropdown presentation screen is a huge hit and perfect for watching all the action upstairs, sporting and entertainment events via satellite television or even movies.  The Banquet Hall is an extremely flexible space, popular for events; from corporate meetings & office gathering to weddings & rehearsal dinners.

Lined with a wall of greenery the private Courtyard behind the School House is our tranquil little haven in the big city.  This 1,400 square feet space is the perfect spot for outdoor wedding ceremonies, cocktail parties, small acoustic shows or just a place to relax with friends and enjoy a drink.  With easy, direct access to both the Banquet Hall and the Music Hall this wonderful space offers a place to enjoy the outside while still feeling the great vibe that is Soulard.  For private events it is also possible to set up a tent and cover the entire area, as well as installing heaters for colder weather.

Lucas Meeting & Events FAQ:

Q: Can I have my wedding ceremony at Lucas Meeting & Events (LME)?

A: Yes, there are indoor and outdoor spaces available for wedding ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners.

Q: Do I have to use one of the caterers from the preferred caterers list?

A: No!  We have an open catering policy.  We can certainly recommend several great area caterers, however, this is your special event and the most important thing to us is that you’re happy and comfortable with all aspects of the event.

Q: What about Bar Services, Event Equipment and Additional Staff requirements?

A: LME will provide and operate all Bar Services for all events.  This is NOT negotiable.  Additional Event Equipment, such as tables, chairs, linens, audio/visual and other will also be provided by LME.  LME will staff each event according to the specific needs of the individual client. None of the above mentioned services are included in the room rental price and will be an additional charge billed to you prior to the event.

Q: What does the rental fee include?

A: Your rental fee includes the use of the room during your rental time slot, cleaning of the room and parking on a first come, first serve basis.  Valet parking is available upon request at an additional charge and may be required at certain events.

Q: Does LME provide decorations for private events?

A: No, these arrangements must be made with outside vendors of your choice. (Candles are allowed in the rooms).  No room alterations or attaching of anything to the walls without prior LME authorization will be allowed

Q: Can I have music at my event at LME?

A: A BIG YES!  LME was built for live music and stage productions.  LME can arrange and provide a variety of local, regional or national level music and comedy talent or a variety of speakers for your event.  With a prior authorization from LME you may bring your own band, DJ, or other music performers of your choice to play during your event.  All audio, video or lighting requirements will be provided by LME’s production team.

Q: Where are my guests allowed to park and how many spaces are available?

A: LME controls several parking spaces in Soulard. We will provide you and your guests with a map of available parking lots for private events.  The spaces are free of charge, on a first come, first serve basis.  Valet parking is also available at an additional charge, but must be arranged for in advance.  For certain events, valet parking will be required.  In consideration of the neighborhood residents, please do not park in front of any driveways and always respect the residents of Soulard.  LME management encourages street parking to the west of the venue when possible.

Q: What time can I access the room before the event?

A: Set-up time will depend on the nature of the event, but the room is generally available two hours prior to the event start time.

Q: May I store materials for my event at LME?

A: This depends greatly upon the nature of your storage needs.  Please check with us a few weeks prior to your event and will work with you the best we can.

Q: How and when may I secure my date for my event at LME?

A: We encourage large events to be booked one year in advance. One date, in one room may be tentatively held for up to two weeks before signing the rental contract and paying the 50% deposit.  (Two week holds are only available for events being booked at least 6 months in advance)

Q: What forms of payment are accepted for my event at LME?

A: Checks made payable to Lucas Meeting & Events, American Express, Visa or MasterCard. Cash payments are discouraged.

Q: What are the cancellation policies for events at LME?

A: Once LME’s contract is signed it is binding.

For cancellation at least 180 days prior to the event date, the fee is Twenty-Five percent (25%) of the rental fee or “minimum” of “anticipated revenue.”

For cancellation 179 - 120 days prior to the event date, the fee is Fifty percent (50%) of the rental fee or “minimum” of “anticipated revenue.” 

For cancellation 119-61 days prior to the event date, the fee is Seventy-Five percent (75%) of the rental fee or “minimum” of “anticipated revenue.” 

For cancellation within 60 days of the event date, the fee is One Hundred percent (100%) of the rental fee or “minimum” of “anticipated revenue.”
